Happy New Year .... Noon day party

We had our third annual Noon Day Party. We count down the seconds to the New Year at Noon. Most of us won't be up at Midnight and this gives us a chance to PARTY.

We had Prime Rib, Baked Potatoes, Brocolli, Roll, Cheese Cake, and started it off with Oleve toasting in the New Year with some Sparkling Apple Cider.

Heinz Drawe passed away Christmas Eve

Christmas has been crazy this year, and I have neglected in updating the Blog. For that I am sorry. I guess it is a good thing the New Year is here, so I can make some more resolutions and try not to break them.

Below are a some of the many Pictures of the busy Christmas Season this year we have had.

Political Recap

Where has time gone? I logged onto the blog and was surprised to see that the last posting was on Halloween. We've had lots of fun things going on here.

Saturday, we played BINGO! They love there bingo.

Sunday, church of course.

Monday, Sit and Fit in the Morning.

The Election has been a pretty hot topic around here. Its interesting to hear some of the things that the residents pick up on watching various news programs, or reading in the paper. On Tuesday we took Esther to the polls in the middle of the snow storm. We ran into Ginger ( Doris' Granddaughter )there.

Yesterday we had Chat and Chew going on. We had a big turn out and of course they always enjoy the chew part more then chat.

Today they had Relief Society.

We have had two new residents move in this week end, and will have one more move in today. Keep checking back we will have a spotlight on each one.

Happy Halloween...

We each made a Halloween Bag to put our Candy in. The residents really have a fun time doing crafts. Some made ghosts, others pumpkins, bats, and some we weren't sure what they where. But never the less, we were having a good time. Most of the ladies sat in the big room and watched The Phantom of the Opera on the big screen while we waited for the Trick or Treaters to show up. Here is Oleve, Bessie, Joy, and Carol sit waiting to hand out the candy. Even though I watched them get a piece or two for themselves.
Dene with her bag.

Carol made a scare crow.

Here is Heinz with his bag. His had the most eyes.

Laura loves to see the kids come buy.

Oleve had lots of fun, making two sacks. She was puzzled as to why she had put I candy want instead of I want Candy.

Bessie is just always having fun.

Gaylia was the first in to make hers. She did pretty good.

Esther and her ghost.

Maria stuck with the simple, I want candy sack.

Shirley made a monster sack.

Lenore made a witch. It turned out really well. She said that the witch and her have the same hair.

I made the bat. doesn't it look like its really flying?
